The Commercial Building Disclosure (CBD) Program requires most sellers and lessors of office space of 2000 square metres or more to have an up-to-date Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC).This is necessary to comply with legal obligations under the Building Energy Efficiency Disclosure Act 2010. Failure to comply may result in large fines. Failure to comply may result in fines up to $110,000 for the first day of non-compliance and up to $11,000 for each extra day.
